I wanted to take a moment to highlight my absolute favorite new product in my online store: The fine art folio box. This is a great alternative to a photo album. This product allows you the opportunity to have a photo collection of your favorite images from your session while also being able to display those images in a variety of ways.

The Photo Collection Box

When you have a full session with me, you have to option to use your print credit towards this gorgeous folio box from 3XM. The box itself is veneered in American Walnut and comes in natural walnut, white, and black (pictured above). My favorite part of the box is the window opening, which allows you the opportunity to change the featured image.

The folio box comes with 10 matted prints. For the images that are not featured at the front of the box, you could frame and display them. You could also store them safely in the box itself and switch out the front image periodically. This is a great album alternative for those who would like to display their images around their home. This way you can still have a photo collection but have a bit more flexibility on sharing the images.

Choosing Your Photo Collection Images

One of the toughest things for clients to do when creating a photo collection for their folio box is narrowing down their images from their session to only 10 images! That’s where I come in!

I always encourage clients to start with the images that you immediately have a reaction to when you see them in your online gallery. These are the images that you spend more than a few seconds with, that you pause the slideshow for, or that give you a literal verbal or emotional reaction. My hope is that you have that reaction with most of your images, so if you are having a tough time narrowing it down further, I encourage you to look for variety in your images. Maybe include some of just your pet, some of your pet with you, some of you favorite up-close details of your pet, and some that show more of the scene. And, if all else fails, ask me for my opinion!
